On our first day in Barcelona we went to the Miro Foundation and saw lots of paintings and sculptures by Joan Miro, one of Spain's famous modern artists. Some of his paintinngs are almost too simple - just lines or dots, others are very clever. I liked his birds. He uses symbols a lot. My mum took a photo of a huge weaving Miro did - and then saw the sign saying no photos!
One day we drove to Figueras and went to the Dali Theatre Museum. It was a long drive and I didn't like this as much but my Mum did (she is a Dali fan). I liked his soft self portrait best.After we went next door to an exhibition of Dali's jewllery designs. One was a diamond and ruby heart - it was beating!
